THE COMPANY--Equipment de Sport, USA Incorporated
Incorporated in California in 1979, Equipment de Sport, USA began by designing and importing fashion
knit and fabric ski hats and caps under the trade name Elan Blanc.
Since its inception Elan Blanc has marketed its winter ski and apres-ski accessories to ski and sport
shops throughout the U.S. by its authorized representatives, some of whom have been with the
Company from the outset.
In 1991 Equipment de Sport, USA expanded by creating a custom embroidery operation--Escape
Sportif--marketing a variety of premium items and embroiderable products to corporations, gift, boutique
and specialty shops, National and State Parks, as well as to premium buyers, conventions and event
co-ordinators.
ELAN BLANC
Elan Blanc's ski and winter accessories are gathered from a wide variety of resources around the world.
Items are imported from Europe and Pacific rim countries as well as Central and South America. For over
a quarter century this diverse resource base has enabled Elan Blanc to offer an incredibly broad variety of
fashion accessories both machine manufactured as well as hand-made from around the world.
In the late 1990's the Company introduced a summer line of straw and fabric hats which, like its winter
products, are marketed by its sales representatives.
As has been the case since its inception, Elan Blanc produces only high-quality, fashion-forward items.
As fashion trends, yarns, fabrics, and colors change seasonally, Elan Blanc's product offering is
constantly being updated with almost a 100% change occurring from one year to the next.
ESCAPE SPORTIF
Initially Escape Sportif produced embroidered outerwear only for ski and sporting goods stores since the
Company was already widely marketing to this industry with its Elan Blanc products. The product line as
well as the marketing has been expanded greatly to appeal to its current, much broader customer base.
Escape Sportif's product line has been expanded over the past few years to include many items other
than those that are embroiderable. However, as can be seen by the items on this website, the
concentration continues to be on wearing apparel--primarily caps and hats. All items reflect the latest
fashion trends.
Escape Sportif is unique in that all facets of producing the designs for custom, direct embroidery on hats,
caps, and sports apparel is accomplished in house. The more than 500 copyrighted embroidery designs
depicted on this website were designed, and digitized by the Company's art department. Additionally,
Escape Sportif has digitized and direct-embroidered thousands of corporate logos for customers large and
small--from Fortune 500 companies to local independent retailers.
The Company prides itself in offering the fastest turnaround in the industry. From art approval to
shipping the custom embroidered product the time required is less than 2 weeks. Today the Company's
embroidery is produced on state-of-the-art equipment with more than 170 embroidery heads thereby
providing the fastest service in the industry with unsurpassed quality.
